We were only given vague hints of her past, which was a bummer because I really wanted to relate with Anouk, but I couldn’t. I can honestly say that this book and I were not an adequate match. But Anouk can never have those things, because she is not really human. I think this one will be very appealing to those on the younger end of the YA spectrum. Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2020. But it's another one that is going to be tough to review without giving anything away. Welcome back. I thought this was a pretty good start to the series and had an original feel to it.
