W have been having the same problem with our NEW WP fridge, model number WRF736SDAB12. Stainless steel exterior is durable and easy to clean. It is again making the noise. The service firm keeps telling me to turn off the power and defrost the system.... Frig is UNDER 3 years old. I called Whirlpool last week and I kept asking if this was a defect and they kept saying it was out of the warranty period but they would send a repairman & pay for parts if I paid for labor! When he could not come up with an answer to what was going on, the business that we bought it from told us that we would have to deal strictly with whirlpool so we called whirlpool and they then sent out someone to look at it.
