Goetia means contacting demons from other realms and although Olgierd only managed to contact lesser demons, this doesn't mean he was bad at it.
Olgierd von Everec was the oldest of two sons born in the early years of the 13th century to Kristina and Bohumil von Everec, who were members of a noble and respected family. Although he's one of the toughest bosses in the game, he may also be one of the most sympathetic. If you speak Italian, check it out!! His looks and attire unremarkable and how he behaves in public never suggesting that he is anything but a simple vagrant or traveller.

Most people would never have any result at all from attempting this, so his magic was actually pretty impressive — if scary. Vlodimir is technically the third character players have direct control of, the other two being Geralt and Ciri in the base game.
