I've enabled this (minauth=none), but I still can't access the NAS SMB share. I can access the Windows 10 SMB shares from my Mac, but not the router's NAS share. Seems there was some confusion because this team not only had a service account but a local account on the Macs with the same name and we're using the wrong account. In compare to smb1 and CIFS, I feel my READ/WRITE speed is better now also. Bottom line, it works. I know the credentials are correct (I reset them in the router). I have tried all sorts of stuff to get this to remain connected and I have yet to find something that works. I have a sneaking suspicion that there is some issue with SMB version 1.0 access. Seems like it's s mac or Linux issue, sounds like you have an authentication problem (based on that's what the error message says) Maybe credentials changes on one of the servers.
