I am a festival fiend so I was very happy to. If you think you'll be at Stone Mountain at least twice a year it makes sense to get the annual parking pass for like $45 or something. Reservations for Stone Mountain Christmas strongly recommended. The traffic to get into the festival is pretty heavy but that's to be expected with a festival this large.
Thomas Burns grew up in Gainesville, Florida and received a BFA in graphic design from the University of Florida. We wanted to move around unimpeded because we know that this is a popular festival and would get busy quickly. We were close enough to walk to the festival, but they also provide shuttle service to many lots in the park. I've purchased jewelry, ornaments, hair ties, clothing, fudge, garden items, etc... My sister lives in nearby Atlanta and when I can't make it out there, she always goes and picks up local grits and sends it to me...such a delight.
Other event in Stone Mountain, GA by Stone Mountain Park on Tuesday, September 8 2020 with 17K people interested and 1.6K people going. Park Attractions, Natural Areas, Resort and Campground are open.

The food dining area contained a number of options and there were covered tables for you to sit and dine in the shade. I highly recommend coming to the festival before 11AM, though you are better off coming at 10AM when it opens. This festival has a country, shabby chic vibe so if you are looking for something a bit more sophisticated, this is not your festival.

"OK, so the other reviews make totally legit points-- this place is dirty, it's old, it's run down, but I can't help but love it! I feel very safe even though there's huge crowds of people everywhere. This is by far my favorite festival in the Atlanta area. Yellow Daisy Festival . If you do not mind the large crowds and waiting about 45-60 minutes to get into the park, you will enjoy yourself.
