Yes I also was up there over 4th of July circling the lake from Chicago>Macinaw>Greenbay and I had to stop and put on my cold weather gear, insulated gloves, insulated jacket, head cap(under helmet), as I was on a motorcycle, and the winds were close to 40MPH and a real drag to say least. It has oval, slightly toothed leaves. Forests also make important contributions to the quality of Michigan’s many lakes and streams.

The pristine forests of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness support black bear, deer, timber wolves, river otters and even moose, as well as rare woodland plants that depend on the old-growth forest habitat that abounds here.Visiting the virgin forests, free-flowing rivers, waterfalls and undisturbed beaches of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness is like taking a step back in time. Great scenic views. I have never been to Isle Royale, but is is on my list of places to visit. Heading to Michigan from DC in the summer.
Yes I also was up there over 4th of July circling the lake from Chicago>Macinaw>Greenbay and I had to stop and put on my cold weather gear, insulated gloves, insulated jacket, head cap(under helmet), as I was on a motorcycle, and the winds were close to 40MPH and a real drag to say least.
