Watching it again reminded me of all the inspiration I received through watching it- as I went through very challenging times. Many better musical "history" films out there. The only bad thing I have to say is this "fictional" piece of work clearly overshadows that incomplete biopic, one take bonanza Temptations hack job. Now I have come through all of these testing times I look back fondly with huge appreciation as some of the scenes made a lasting impression. If you love music you have to own this movie. Some tracks began with great potential but few of those played through or given prominence in the film. (as Craig Eisner), additional camera operator (as Phil Waters), additional first assistant camera (as Tom Yatsko), additional casting associate: New York (as Sarah Hyde-Hamlet). I would've preferred quite a few more uplifting scenes of all the fun gigs the had, too. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

I can watch it every 6 months and never tire of it. (as Mike Conn), Big Red's Guys Duck is the character who writes the song and his little sister belts it out like Aretha. This is without a doubt one of my favorite movies of all-time. a brilliant story of struggle, money, corruption n music, Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 20, 2012. fantastic film about a group of friends who slowly make it in the music industry. The clarity and detail in this blu-ray transfer made me feel like I was watching it for the 1st time, rivaling current releases. Robert Townsend did an awesome job with this movie! Call me a Wahhhhmbulance, Real Life Sucks too! It started to skip n mess up. This is a classic that I can watch repeatedly. It's the Temptations without the songs you know so well but we don't know these guys so it's all a surprise. Unforgettable entrance by the lead singer. The soundtrack makes a great companion to the movie, which is available from Fox Home Video. Now I have come through all of these testing times I look back fondly with huge appreciation as some of the scenes made a lasting impression. If you love music you have to own this movie. Some tracks began with great potential but few of those played through or given prominence in the film. (as Craig Eisner), additional camera operator (as Phil Waters), additional first assistant camera (as Tom Yatsko), additional casting associate: New York (as Sarah Hyde-Hamlet). I would've preferred quite a few more uplifting scenes of all the fun gigs the had, too. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
